BOB JOHNSON RIDES AGAIN! 326

Love is in the air of San Luis Obispo! It’s also in the water, the sewage, the blood alcohol level of many of its least dependable residents, its demeanor, its attitude, its bread, its over-reliance on couscous, its social gatherings, its marijuana dispensaries, its bars and restaurants, its fragmentary nature in the face of bitter adversity, its sense of beauty, its silent aspect, its bookstores and libraries, and its seafront head-shops but, as we said when we started out, it’s mainly in the air, the air, the beautiful blue and golden air!
Even the Cosgroves are feeling the call of wild loving as entertainment coordinators for the accidental reception that won’t be being held in Bob’s honor unless, you know, something accidental happens. And they’re pairing up with the countless Ma Mas and Ma Ma’s Ma Mas and so forth for liaisons that will stretch not only the credulity of central coast Californians, but their patience and respect and probably even their waistlines. These liaisons and romantic partnerships include:
From Here to Eternity Cosgrove and Yo Yo Ma’s Ma Ma’s Ma Ma performing their unique rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”; Black and Tan Cosgrove and Barack Obama’s Ma Ma’s Ma Ma (who is, coincidentally, a distant cousin of Yo Yo Ma’s Ma Ma) who will be doing a magic act while dancing and a dance act while performing magic; McCartney-Lennon Cosgrove and When Harry Met Sally Cosgrove who will take turns balancing a very old, very wizened Yo Yo Ma’s Ma Ma’s Ma Ma on the nose of a barking seal; and last but not least, Horatio Alger Cosgrove and his father, School Principal Wolfgang Cosgrove, wearing black hoods, who will simultaneously guess the identity of Mentalist Supreme Oz Pearlman as he stands between them whistling “Dixie.” (News at eleven–or whenever the shooting stops.)

It sounds loverly, loverly 😍 having returned home to old cold Cape Cod, I can not report the same environmental conditions…wondering if if we get some of that air out there? Got Mother’s Day, our anniversary #51 & my bride’s birthday 🥳 all in May! I can’t whistle Dixie, but can sing a few bars 🎶🎶 I not be in the land of cotton, old timer’s dreams sometimes forgotten [frontal cortex], look away, look away for the air of SLO…
